Written Coffee is an experimental roasting company in partnership with City Brewed. The goal? Merge storytelling with coffee culture, one sip at a time.
The idea behind Written Coffee was to combine the roots of City Brewed – storytelling and coffee – with a physical, DTC product. I worked with product designer Candace of Studio Meroe to bring the vision to life. Want to take a peek into our world? Check out the Written Coffee brand book.
Working from the goal backwards, I built the Written Coffee digital strategy, including social, email, and advertising plans.
Prior to launch, I secured initial press placements on MyDomaine, Daily Coffee News, and The Style Line, among others. In phase two, we launched an influencer campaign, seeding product (and nailing social placement) with micro- and macro-personalities across platforms. In real life, we teamed up with brands to produce co-sponsored events. In collaboration with Brooklyn-based vintage store The Break, we hosted “Wake Up with The Break and Written Coffee,” featuring a morning of mimosas, Written Coffee tastings, shopping, and complimentary dewy summer makeup looks.
Content production for Written Coffee includes weekly blog posts, social media posts, email blasts, website copy, product copy, and advertorial videos.
